Case 3

HHS

Over the last ten years, you've been employed by a horse trainer, traveling with him and the other horse keepers between Florida and New York. They provided you with work and free housing. Though the hours are long, and the pay is minimal, you are so thankful to be here. You had been able to send your grandmother money every month, even saving up for a phone to call and check in on her everyday. Since her passing, three years ago, you took extra time to reminisce in the memories that you shared.

Today, you say a small prayer for her during your midday break. Then, you join your coworkers in the cafeteria, thankful to be shielded from the Floridian humidity. After a meal of rice, beans, pork, tomato salsa, tortillas, and a slice of birthday cake, you start to feel a little nauseous. Your vision starts to get a little blurry, and you feel like you're going to pass out. You tell one of your friends that you don't feel so good. You think that you may need to go to the hospital, but you worry how your documentation status might affect calling 9-1-1.

What do you do?
