This is when work kills you

Your exhaustion and addiction have driven you to a new low. One day at work, the sleeve of your shirt gets caught in one of the conveyor belts. You black out.

When you wake up in the hospital, one of the healthcare workers tells you through a language line that you've lost one of your arms, and that you have a large wound on your chest. Much of your skin had been sheered off, she said, but they thought you were stable for now.

One of your coworkers comes to visit you the next day, and tells you that your sponsor is extremely upset. He tells you that he's demanding more working hours and more money from you, and that he will not permit you to live in the apartment once you are discharged from the hospital. And, he tells you that you'll be fired if you mention any of this to anyone at the hospital.
