Case 2

Wait it out

You decide to wait out the immigration hearing process. You try to follow the rules of the detention facility, but everyday the rooms get more crowded and the days get more monotonous.

You try to find things to do, but unless you know someone who can send you books or magazines, there's not much entertainment. You have one hour of outside time per day, and the rest of the time, you lay awake in a cramped cell. Eventually, they demand that you share cots in order to contain all of the detainees who arrive. You'd rather sleep on the floor.

After two months, the CBP officers announce that they do not have enough room to contain all of you in the detention facility. They're going to deport everybody who arrived within the last year who does not have a sponsor.

What do you do?
