Case 3

Back to Clinic

When you finally decide to go back to the clinic, the doctor assigns a student to work with you.

The student asks you to outline what you eat in a typical day, and asks you to take photos of your meals to show her at your next visit.

Next, she asks you if you need help reading your medication bottles. You admit that you do not know how to read very well, and she arranges a pill organizer for you with photos of the sun and moon, telling you which medications to take in the morning and which to take at night.

Then, she tells you to come to the clinic everyday before lunch and before dinner so that she can teach you to administer your injections until you feel comfortable doing it yourself.
