Case 3

Walmart later

Later in the week, when you have a day off before the races start in full-swing, you make the walk to Walmart and pick up your medications. Then, you bring them back with you to the clinic.

The doctor assigns a student to work with you, who asks you if you need help reading your medication bottles. You admit that you do not know how to read very well, and she arranges a pill organizer for you with photos of the sun and moon, telling you which medications to take in the morning and which to take at night.

Then, she tells you to come to the clinic everyday before lunch and before dinner so that she can teach you to administer your injections until you feel comfortable doing it yourself.
