Case 2

Homelessness for the Migrant

You try to find a shelter that you can stay at temporarily until you feel better and can work to your sponsor's liking, but after two shelters ask you for proper identification as well as the signing of a contract stating that you will maintain sobriety while you're there, you decide to give up.

You stay on the street for a few nights, and after a few days without food, you grow incredibly emaciated. Nobody walking by seems to pay any attention to you.

One particularly chilly night, you start to feel yourself slip away. You close your eyes and picture your daughter's faces. You wish that you could have told them goodbye.

Time of death 3:39am.
