Journey

Case 2

Put up with it

After a few more weeks of work, you find your heart beating quickly at all times of the day. When you try to go to sleep at night, you lay awake for hours, thinking about all that you've endured over the past few months. You feel the guilt of not being able to send money home weighing on your chest.

Recently, your wife told you that your oldest daughter has dropped out of school and has been working along with your wife to sell dolls and necklaces made out of corn husks to people on the street. It's helped keep their stomachs from being empty over the past month.

Your heart drops. You want to keep working with the hope of sending something home soon. Your daughter not being in school makes you so deeply upset. You made this treacherous journey to prevent just that.

What do you do?
