Report Assault to CBP

You get the attention of one of the passing CBP officers, and muster up the courage to tell them what has happened. You tell them through tears that you want the officer who assaulted you to be held accountable. You want to get help to move past this, too, your family still needs you.

The CBP officer smirks and immediately re-handcuffs you. You've dared to falsely accuse an officer of assault. He drags you to solitary confinement.

Your thoughts eat you alive in the dark, windowless cell. You stop eating all together. When the CBP officers come to retrieve you seven days later, you are emaciated, on the brink of death.

They take you to the emergency care center, but as the doctors start to insert needles into your arms and a tube up your nose, you feel yourself slipping away.

You close your eyes and picture your daughters' smiling faces. You wish that you could have told them goodbye.
