Case 2
Call Home
You try to call your family, but each time you dial the number, the same message is delivered in English -- only some of which you can understand. Starting to wonder why the phone isn't working, you ask the CBP officer who had escorted you to use the phone.
He tells you that you cannot make international phone calls while in detention. "You should have known that," he remarks, "it was in the booklet we gave you, idiot."
What do you do?
